Halo: no appointments to maintain
A single clear wire holds a full weft in place, with nothing attached to your natural hair. You put it in and take it out yourself, so there are no move-up or removal appointments, and with proper care a halo can last over a year. Clip-in: low commitment
In for the evening, out before bed. There’s no recurring maintenance and no appointment needed to remove them.
Tape-in: the common starting point for everyday wear

Micro bead and keratin bond: long wear
Keratin bond attaches strand by strand using keratin protein, the same protein your hair is made of. Micro bead uses a small silicone-lined bead with no heat and no glue. Application takes longer, but both typically wear 4 to 5 months with proper care, so you need fewer appointments per year.
Hand-tied wefts: the most hair and chair time
Wefts are sewn onto a small braid rather than taped or bonded. It’s the most involved method and the one stylists most often call the gold standard for fine hair, because weight spreads across a braid instead of pulling at individual attachment points. What Else Shapes Your Quote
Hair quality
We use 100% Remy human hair, where every strand’s cuticle stays aligned root to end, which helps prevent matting and tangling over months of wear. Color matching

Stylist experience
Extension work is a specialism, not a general salon skill. The American Academy of Dermatology advises having extensions done by a professional, and if a style hurts or feels too tight, ask your stylist to loosen it. Move-up appointments. As your natural hair grows, attachment points move away from the root and need repositioning. Tape-ins need this every 6 to 8 weeks, hand-tied every 8 to 10. This recurring commitment turns extensions from a purchase into an ongoing routine, and it’s the thing most worth asking about at your consultation.
Removal. Every method except halo and clip-in needs professional removal at the end of its life.

Think Long Term, Not Just the Install
Extensions are a long-term commitment, not a one-off. The hair itself is often reusable across several move-ups, so what matters is the plan for the whole wear period, not just the first appointment.
Extensions aren’t meant to be worn without breaks, though. The AAD suggests wearing a professional weave or extensions for two or three months at most, choosing light styles and switching hairstyles (their hair damage guide). Ask your stylist to plan wear time and rest periods into your routine.
