Every tape-in service at Capelli starts with a consultation. Your stylist will:
- Look at your hair’s density, length and condition.
- Talk through your goal, whether that’s more length, more volume or both.
- Match the extension color to your hair, or blend a few shades for a natural result.
- Explain how long they’ll last and how often you’ll need a move-up.
During the fit, panels are placed in a staggered “brick” pattern. This spreads the hair evenly and avoids lines or bumps. Panels sit a little back from the hairline so they stay hidden.

How to Prepare
- Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo on the day of your appointment.
- Skip conditioner, oils and styling products. They can stop the tape from holding.
- Arrive with fully dry hair.
How Long Do Tape-In Extensions Last?
Tape-ins usually need a move-up every 6 to 8 weeks as your own hair grows. At each visit, your stylist removes the panels, re-tapes them and places them back near the root. With good care, the hair itself can often be reused for several rounds.
How to Care for Tape-Ins
- Wait 48 hours after your fit before the first wash, so the bond can set.
- Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and keep conditioner away from the tape.
- Brush gently with a loop or extension brush, starting at the ends.
- Keep oils and serums off the tape area.
- Sleep with your hair in a loose braid, or use a silk pillowcase.
- Dry your roots fully after washing.
